These lesser known authors wrote books that will blow your mind!

Hey guys! This week’s Top Ten Tuesday is a freebie, so I decided to one from the past- July 16, 2013, to be specific! I’m only doing two this time, so you know what that means- I’m going to talk. A lot!

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

Top Two Authors Who Deserve More Recognition

1) Diane Stanley– Although she has written many children’s books as well as a few young adult, my absolute favorite series by her (which I have actually mentioned on this blog) is the Silver Bowl trilogy:

First of all… I HAVE ONE HUNDRED FOLLOWERS WHAT. I know that may not seem like much to most of you, but it means the world to someone who feels like they failed upon starting. 😉 Also, I had a friend close all of my tabs on my laptop (because I could not bear to do it) so that I could actually use my laptop…. To blog and play the Sims. More on that later- let’s pretend this whole freaking out thing never happened, shall we? Day 3 of the #twentybookishdays challenge is #flipthatbook and even though I failed, it was pretty fun haha. This is my set of two beautiful hardbacks and a worn (read a few times, by me and my mom) paperback, which is not aesthetically pleasing but the money I want to spend on it could be used to buy OTHER books…. Wow, that was a long sentence. Anyway, these books aren’t very well known, but I totally loved them and even my mom enjoyed them, so the sexual content (not violence, although that’s not terrible) is extremely low. Be sure to check out the Silver Bowl series by Diane Stanley! What do you all think of my flip pic? #books #bookstagram #ya #yabooks #youngadult #youngadultbooks #bookstagramfeature #teenbooknerd

The whole series is just super interesting and never failed to surprise me. I also read a couple books from her series The Mysterious Matter of I.M. Fine, and I’m looking into getting myself a copy of Saving Sky. Basically, I just think she has a very interesting and unique voice, and I always recommend her, so I definitely think she deserves more attention!

2) Talia Haven– Now, to be fair, the only book that I have read by this author is Mama Cried, which I did a review on fairly recently. However, at less than 100 ratings, this author is extremely overlooked, considering how good her writing is (Don’t underestimate how much emotional content 8 pages can have!). Really, guys, for only 99 cents on Amazon, it’s worth it to check it out (I swear I’m not being paid or anything, I just really loved the story and I love hearing about unknown authors).

So, I know that this post was rather short, but I hope you still enjoyed it! Leave me a link to your Top Ten Tuesday this week in the comments if you did one, or tell me about some unknown authors that you think I should read. 🙂 Have any of you read anything by these authors?

  1. I have never heard of either of these authors! gasps Clearly I’m missing out. XD I tend to read mostly the popular/famous authors so I do miss out on these hidden gems. Ahhhh, I shall check them out further on goodreads. 😀

Thanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!
