A Merry Little Christmas Chat!

Hey guys, it’s Amy! Sit tight, because as the category says, this is mostly just a talkedy-talk post. First of all- I haven’t posted in a while, and honestly, I’m just in a little blogging slump. Like I said before, once my scheduled posts were gone, I guess I just didn’t really know what to do with myself. And ironically, it is apparently very difficult to just start up a post on a very blank piece (more like screen) of white. Ironic because that is the only way to start- from the beginning, that is. MY GOODNESS. I sound so fancy. And I’m talking in circles. In any case, I’ve missed you guys, and I’m working on a new blogging schedule (on paper), which was inspired by Anna @ Herding Cats and Burning Soup’s blogging planner (*eyes sparkle*), so hopefully that works out for me. πŸ™‚ In any case! I recently opened up my Goodreads (because that’s what book addicts do; they look at more books until their TBRs are a million miles long and don’t actually read any of the books) and saw my 2016 reading challenge. It was horrifying and I am scarred for life:

As you can see, I was 50 books away with 18 days left. In other words, what most of us would call “impossible”. Any other year, and I would probably try to do it anyways (because I’m insane), but I’ve had a hard time this year with reading a lot and slumps, etc. so… I cheated. I lowered my challenge:

Voila! The challenge is now extremely difficult but not impossible! Wish me luck!

Anyway, those pictures bring me to the extremely exciting fact that…

I FIGURED OUT HOW TO SCREENSHOT ON MY LAPTOP.

I know, isn’t that the most exciting thing you’ve ever heard? But really, I had no idea how to do it, and it’s so incredibly cool and helpful! XD (If anyone’s wondering, all you have to do is press the windows button and prt scn. Really. That simple.) Other than that, the COYER Challenge starts tomorrow and I can’t wait! I really hope I can hold true to this challenge. Fingers crossed! πŸ™‚

And last but not least, Christmas is nearly upon us!!! Therefore, I thought I would add a bit of festivity to the blog, and I’ve added the snow feature as well as a little playlist (in the sidebar) for you guys to listen to (if you’d like) while you read. πŸ™‚ I’m still working on it, so it’ll grow! (Also- I know the username is a little weird; my brother made it for me when I was little, and apparently there’s a big thing about how you cannot physically change your Spotify username. So I’m stuck with it! XD)

Anyway, this was a short little post about not very much. I hope I didn’t bore you guys too much, and hopefully I see you all soon! Let me know what you think of the playlist/snow/your opinions on holidays, etc.; I love to hear from you all! Toodles! πŸ˜‰

  1. Yep, our Goodread’s Reading Challenges should join a group call YA RIGHT, THERE IS NO WAY THIS IS HAPPENING. I’m super excited for COYER! Are you going to do the Instagram challenge? I’m excited to start COYER, but I still have half a book to read and I’M NOT READY!!

  2. Oh my word. 9 days. That’s insane, right?

LOL on your Goodreads Challenge. That was SO me last year! And I totally lowered that goal not once but twice! ha! This year I made my goal pretty low and was able to hit it without TOO much stress. Good luck finishing yours up!

I’m giggling at your screen shot learning. It was like two years ago and I learned how to do that little vertical line thing

Amazon | Goodreads <—– that. I had NO idea how to do it and when I realized I was like…really now. But woohoo! Ha!

Hope you have a great Christmas and fun time working on your planning πŸ˜€

  3. You can make your Goodreads challenge, read the Pottermore e-books and scripts/screenplays, they’re quick to read. I also have a blog planner, and I have done a post on it. It really helps me stay on track, even if I don’t schedule my posts, at least I have an actual schedule for my blog.
