New memes and bookish rants! How interesting!

Top 5 Wednesday.jpg

This weekly book meme officiated in November 2013 and is still going strong! Join the group to become a T5W-er and check out the topics for the current month!

Hey guys, it’s Amy! I’ve seen this meme a few times around the blogosphere, and it looks so fun! I really thought the topic for this week looked cool, so I thought I’d join in! The topic is:

Books I Want to Re-Read

I have over 600 books on my Goodreads TBR. And thus, I don’t really “have time” to reread. But hey, why read something new that I’m not really interested in if I really just want to reread my favorite book? Therefore, this is my list of my top five books (this is a LOOSE LIST. DEFINITELY not set in stone) that I would like to reread:

5. The Immortal Rules series

This was really the book that got me started on the Young Adult road. Nikki pushed and pushed and finally got me to read this, and I absolutely adored it, although it did take me a while to get through. I would definitely love to revisit it, and hopefully it will still be just as good!

4. Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice was AMAZING. It took me forever to get around to trying to read it, it took me forever to get a copy, and it took me forever to finish it. I listened to it as an audiobook, though, and although I really enjoyed it, I would like to read it again and make sure I get everything out of it. I’m pretty easily distracted, so I think it’s worth another shot!

3. The Throne of Glass series

I. LOVE. THIS. SERIES. SO. MUCH. OH MY GOSH. I’ve read the books once each (including The Assassin’s Blade) and I completely adore Sarah J. Maas’s writing and stories. Although she always kills off my favorite people. Just an FYI. In any case, it’s one of my favorite series, and now that I know so much more about the characters and everything, I think it would be really fun to go back and experience it again!

2. The Harry Potter series

Typical? Yeah, maybe. But of course, I absolutely adore this series. I’ve read the first book maybe five times, the second probably three, the third twice, and the rest only once. And I marathoned (sp?) them while on vacation, so I really should read them again. Especially the last one. And no, I will not be rereading The Cursed Child. But I do totally want to see the play!

1. The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Oh. My. Gosh. Um, if you read my review (hint hint), or basically anything else I have written since I’ve read this book, you know that this is my favorite book. Of all time. My review was mostly just blubbering and tons of GIFs and saying you should read it. Because I love it. So very much. I do. And the minute I put it down, I basically wanted to start reading it again. That’s how good it was. I’ve only read this book once, and I intend to change that. ASAP. STAT. And I DON’T HAVE A COPY. I need one. NOW. AGHHHHHHHHHHHH. this is the kind of book where if I were trapped on a desert island with only one book for the rest of my life, I would want it to be this one. I don’t think I would ever get tired of it. I really don’t. And I highly doubt my opinion will change the second time around. And here concludes my lecture on how much I love this book slash why you should read it.

Ah, well, that was interesting! I struggled at first with the numbering, but I knew I wanted TPOBAW to be first, and Harry Potter somewhere in there, so I just figured it out from there. Have you guys read any of these? Agree? Disagree? Did you make a Top 5 Wednesday? Which books do you want to reread (slash recommend to me, because I totally need more books to add to my TBR)? Let me know down in the comments! Toodles! šŸ™‚

P.S. Anna and I have decided to create a read-a-thon! It’s happening fairly soon, with it starting on December fourth! It’ll be called The “I’m Way Behind Readathon”. More info should be up on my blog by Friday, but we already have a Twitter account made for it (hint hint go follow) and we’ll keep that updated as we go!

  2. I want to reread ToG and the 2nd book in the series too! I havent read the rest and it has been so long that I think I should do a refresher. Also, I just did a reread of HP #1 via audiobook that I checked out via overdrive at my library. I listened while coloring and yes yes yes! It was amazing and wonderful. If you havent “read” these in audio I very much suggest it!
