For the first time, I am actually making some good progress!

It’s taken me four days of being so incredibly annoyed with myself to pick up the pace and get something done! This endeavor may actually be possible now… Gasp! Haha. For any newbies out there, (HI, I’M AMY AND I HOPE YOU LIKE CRAZINESS AND BOOKS BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT I’M HERE FOR) it’s Rereads Week! Yay!

My list still stands (which reminds me, I don’t have all the copies for these yet. I need to get on that soon! Ack!):

BUT instead of telling you yet again that I’m still on Cinder, I HAVE PROGRESS TO SHARE!!! WHOOPEE!!! Okay, is it really so wrong that I’m excited about this? I’m a bookworm! And a book blogger! I can’t not be excited about books! None of you would have followed me! (Yeesh, look at those exclamation points. D’ya think I need to turn it down a bit?) Anyway, I did finish Cinder… Dot dot dot… AND HARRY POTTER!!!!!!! XD

First off, this is actually a book that we have reviewed. Yes, really. I know it sounds crazy! We never review things…. We always apologize about that, but we are hoping to review The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan one of these days… (Okay, now it’s the dot dot dots. Are you noticing these things too?) Whenever Nikki comes back from her latest disappearance! We miss you, Nikki! 😉 ANYWAY! I started this with the whole review thing. Yes. That. Very important. You can find that link somewhere around here. (I highly recommend that you check it out because it covers some great key points! And it has Nikki! And it’s a REVIEW by US!!! Go look! Nowwwww!) I definitely appreciated the full-circle experience of rereading. I caught some things that I had not the first time (of course it helps that I know how the story goes), and laughed at others I had forgotten!

…it would be a shame for you to die when we’ve just had the pleasure of meeting.

Overall, my experience was very light and enjoyable, partly because that’s the general style of the writing, and partly because it was (obviously) a reread. Fantastico!!! You should totally go read this now. And then reread it because, after all, it is…

;-P Alright everyone, good- BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE!

I was feeling pretty queasy this morning, (pounding headache much?) so I called in sick for most of the day (although I did go later in the afternoon, had band, and got yet another headache. Yaaaaaay. Not.), which left me plenty of time to… Can anybody guess? READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Someone should probably make a limit on how many exclamation points I’m allowed to use in a post. And dot dot dots… And parentheses…) So I was able to finish Cinder AND start Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. And finish that too! *and cue the applaaaauuuuuuuuse*

So, I don’t know how often I say this, but…

And I LUUUUUURVE Harry Potter! I read the series over the summer (I’m sure you could find a whole post on it in June somewhere if you really wanted to) because I felt pathetic for not having read it already. 😛 I’ve only seen the first three movies, so I should really start on those… AND DID I MENTION I LOVE HARRY POTTER!!!???!!! Ahem. *picks dignity up off the floor* I have actually read this particular book multiple times before, as when I was younger, my mom only wanted me to read the first few, so I read them over and over again. This was probably, what, my fifth time? Ish? Well, anyway, it was fantastic! I would totally do it again. Rereads are like warm blankies. *sucks thumb* One of my favorite quotes is on page 296 (and yes, I remember that, and no, I’m not weird… much…):

What happened down in the dungeons between you and Professor Quirrell is a complete secret, so, naturally, the whole school knows.

Makes me laugh every time! Oh, Dumbledore… *cries into whoever is reading this’s shoulder*

I looked in my fridge this afternoon, and what do I see but cheesecake! YUM! So, regretfully, I do not have a recipe today either. Yikes! This is turning into a recurring thing! Plus, I barely have any ideas left! *ginormous guilty face* I had a bunch, but then, in typical Nikki fashion, I did not write them down and therefore completely forgot. Oops? Looks like we shall be seeing more mug cakes in our future! Unless some WONDERFUL *turns on the charm and the innocent, sweet smile* follower/blogging friend out there would like to share a recipe with me… *COUGH COUGH I WILL CREDIT YOU COUGH COUGH* 😉

Looking back at my list, I will be reading The Silver Bowl (by Diane Stanley) next! Many of you may not have heard of this series, but I own the entire thing and I even lent it to my mother to read, so… IT’S WORTH IT!!!!! I haven’t read it in a while so I imagine there will be lots of quotes to share! Okay everybody, there are books to read and blogs to see!

Have you been joining in with Rereads Week? Are you planning to later on? Are you enjoying these posts? Have you read/heard of/want to read any of the books mentioned in this post? What house are you in? Is that a fellow Hufflepuff I see out there? Do you love Sadness as much as I do? What about cheesecake? Do you have any recipes you’d be willing to share with me? I’m pretty talented, I can handle whatever you throw at me! Has anyone heard of The Silver Bowl? Are you going to comment now? FEEL THE GUILT!!!!! Just kidding, no pressure, but I love hearing from you guys. 🙂

  1. YES HI YOU DO SEE A FELLOW HUFFLEPUFF 😉 As for recipes, maybe simple (BUT DELICIOUS) chocolate chip cookies? I don’t have the recipe, but I’m sure you can find something online 🙂 OR. Does it have to be food or can it be drinks too? Two years ago I made Butterbeer and it was delicious. I used one of these recipes http://www.mugglenet.com/fans-fun/rosmertas-recipes/ (I’m pretty sure there was only one then?!) and apparently now they also have a recipe for Butterbeer ice cream… NOW I WANT TO MAKE BUTTERBEER ICE CREAM

  2. Hey there! Omg this rereads week is such a great idea! I read Harry Potter when I was about 9 or 10 and I’ve been dying to reread them ahhhh. Setting aside a week specifically for rereading is a brilliant idea, kudos to you! I always shied away from rereading because of my ever-growing TBR pile. (no shame here) So I’m constantly reading new things. But GOD. NOSTALGIA! Maybe someday I’ll try this as well 😀 Oh and I loved The Lunar Chronicles too! I can’t wait to read Winter ❤ Wonderful blog by the way! xx

  4. nope, no time for re-reads 😉 I set my goal for 100 books this year and just MIGHT be able to finally do it (this is the third year I am attempting to do it!)
When I was younger though, as a teenage girl especially, I kept reading Anne of Green Gable series over and over… 😀

    1. Haha! I believe I had just gotten to 100 when I kind of stopped using Goodreads… *guilty face time* And I’m not too far on my list of rereads anyways. Oopsies? Oh well… Good luck with your goal, and thanks so much for commenting!
