Happiness, Love, Emotion, Rereads, and Recipes!

Hey guys! Amy again. 🙂 Happiness, love, emotion, rereads, and recipes are all on the agenda today, believe it or not! I’ll go in order to make it all simpler! *rubs hands together* Here goes!

Yay!!! I just had a super fantastic day. I was able to spend some time at MULTIPLE libraries! I first went to my local-est library to get The Lightning Thief (rereads!). Later on I went to a neighboring city’s library and spent an hour in their Young Adult section. I literally got the most ginormous list. I couldn’t get anything though because of rereads week.

I got to spend pretty much the entire day with my mom. And we talked about pretty much everything! 😀 I always feel like I don’t spend nearly enough time with her. I also got The Magican’s Nephew. Love that series!

Okay, so I just finished watching Inside Out. AND IT WAS AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!! I swear my dad was sniffing away tears. It was so emotional and really hit home. If you haven’t seen it, I promise it’s not just for kids! It was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone- and yes I do mean anyone! Of course, Joy inspired those lovely little happiness and love paragraphs. 😀 Honestly, I think Sadness might have been my favorite. Is that wrong?

So of course you all know it’s the start of rereads week! To start off I want to show you my list of hopefuls (and they are in the order I hope to read them in as well):

As of right this second, Rereads Week will not be over until I read all these books! Yay? Hehe. So, of course, I am currently reading Cinder by Marissa Meyer-

I got through about 100 pages today, and so far I love it! I love the feeling of knowing what’s going to happen next, yet not remembering exactly what led to that event. It’s like eating rainbows, hugging puppies, Bath and Body Works, and laughing with friends ALL AT THE SAME TIME!!!!! So yay for rereads! I hope to read more tomorrow.

Another yay!!! Today I made a Chocolate Peanut Butter mug cake (any of these will be from this book by Monica Sweeney- all credit to her for the yumminess!!!):

My yummy gooiness! Bask in the delicious chocolatey-ness! Now for the recipe:

Chocolate Peanut Butter

  • 4 tablespoons self-rising flour
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons beaten egg or liquid egg substitute
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 2 heaping tablespoons chopped peanut butter cups or chocolate and/or peanut butter chips

Mix the flour, sugar, and cocoa powder in a mug. Add the egg, mill, oil, and vanilla and stir until well combined. With a spoon, make a well in the center of the batter and drop in the peanut butter, smoothing the cake batter back into place on top of it. Top with the chopped Reese’s. Microwave on high for 1 minute or until the top is just dry.

(This is an excerpt from the book Best Mug Cakes Ever by Monica Sweeney) Follow all the above instruction set, and voila! You should end up with a delicious chocolatey cake! I recommend that you use quite a big mug, as the batter amount is huge! Alas, most of you will never try this. But you should! It’s worth it!

Well, guys, I had a lot of fun making this post (YAY EDITS) but our time together today is coming to an end! My Amy Sadness with the blond hair is all worked up because of goodbye-ing!

HOW SAD IS THAT FACE!?! *bawls eyes out* Goodbye everyone!

Aren’t libraries amazing? Moms too! What did you think about Cinder? Do you recognize all the books on the list? How many have you read? Are you doing Rereads Week with me? Are you planning on making a mug cake? Have you heard of mug cakes before? What did you think about the format of this post? How awesome are those edits? Have you seen Inside Out? Wasn’t it amazing? Gimme a holler! I’m a people person!

    1. Haha she is though!!! She always wants to help Joy, but she’s the complete opposite so Joy just gets rid of her. 😦 Haha, thanks! I KNOW RIGHT it’s so amazing, I can already tell that this is going to clear up my slump real fast! 😀

      1. Yep (lol you know me so well XD ). But… maybe it’s not that unrelated after all. You decide. 😉
Soooo…. I decided to REREAD The Infernal Devices. (Yes, after all those self-promises about not rereading anymore. I’m hopeless. :P)

          1. Which is why I left it for you to decide. 😉

Well, it’s good for me in that it’s making me experience one of favourite series of all times, once again. On the other hand, it was bad enough having those ginormous FEELS the first time; this time around, my poor heart is absolutely DYING. Every moment. And not to mention the unread new books who are about to give up any hope of ever seeing me again. I feel so bad for them… 😦

  2. Love the edits here, I am pretty much addicted to Vanillapen and Typorama as well. You are making me so hungry with that Chocolate Peanut Butter mug cake, but I must RESIST
