And yes, Bhramori, I made that one!  (Oh yeah, guys, this is Amy! Little late on that one.)

Anyway, I wasted a bunch of time on that picture, so let’s get a-talking. So, you may be wondering why I mentioned rereads. And hot cocoa. Oh, did I not say the hot cocoa? Well, there’s that too! Basically, I’ve been off and on a reading slump. Occasionally, I get excited about a book and power through it, but then I can’t get into anything else and ignore my stack until I have to take them back. Sooo… You know me, I’m a problem solver! And what do we get?


Sing it to the tune of “Elmo’s World!” That’s it! Ahem. I think I left my dignity in the other room….

The General Idea:

  • I will reread favorite books all week (and possibly beyond that)
  • There will be hot cocoa
  • Throne of Glass will be involved
  • Wait, go back to the hot cocoa!
  • There will be hot cocoa; every day I will post a recipe for some kind of yummy sweet treat to eat while enjoying those fuzzy warm rereads!
  • This starts Saturday, November 7th, and does not have a definite end date yet!
  • You are absolutely welcome to join in with the treats when you can!

If any of you have ideas for treats, I’m most certainly open to options! 🙂 I have a few in mind, so we shall see…

I had best be going soon, but I am reading The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas! It is good so far; I’m sure I will have more to tell later on in the week.

    1. Hmmm… Hadn’t thought about the specific genre yet. I think I’m going to roam around a bit. The two I have in mind at the moment are Throne of Glass and Cinder, and maybe a book by an author who’s name I cannot remember right now but who’s books I can picture perfectly haha.

      1. Well, you’d get better suggestions if you mentioned the genre, I think. Usually when I’m rereading, my commonest choices are classics or favourite series. Speaking of which, have you finally read a classic yet?? (Please tell me you did…)

          1. True, I jump around a lot too. And that’s the whole point, isn’t it? You’re reading for comfort, you’re free to choose whatever appeals most. I remember once I reread Frankenstein, and followed it with Anne of Green Gables!! XD XD Can you imagine?!

              1. 😀 It was… but it was oddly comforting, too. There’s something very soothing about getting lost in the pages of a familiar book, you know — like embracing a close friend. And for me, whose bedtime stories revolved around ghosts and zombies, horror is a genre that I always welcome like long-lost family, as strange as that sounds.

                    5. Noo!! The real question is… how did you and Nikki become friends? I mean, are you childhood friends? Or did some sudden incident bring about your friendship? I was thinking about you guys the other day, and this came to my mind, and I’ve been curious ever since…

                    6. Oh! Haha. Well, I don’t mind sharing at all! We don’t mention it much, but it’s not really a secret, I don’t think anyway haha. Only the first FIRST people we met knew I think. Anyway, surprise surprise! We’re cousins! 😀 She’s 5 months older than me, so she’s literally been around my entire life. Lucky me! 🙂 I know that we have an easier relationship than most, because although we have gotten into some pretty big fights before (it was awful), it would be really hard to stay mad forever.

                  1. Yesss!! You must read To Kill A Mockingbird, though I’d suggest you try it out only after you’ve got a hang of reading classes, otherwise the language might bore you so much that you may lose interest in the story itself. Same with Mark Twain. I think you should start out with Jane Austen. How about Pride and Prejudice? 😀

                    8. Yes, but I’m trying to figure out how to send different mails to each of you, considering you’re both connected using ONE email. Won’t you be confused as to whom I’m actually writing to?

                    9. Hmmm… Yes, I was actually just thinking about that. There’s really no good way at the moment; I think we might consider using seperate (although I haven’t cleared this with Nikki yet) emails for personal messaging with blogging friends, and the blog email for professional matters.

                    19. Well, I’m trying!!! But you must understand, speed is a little hard to achieve when one is reading six books at once. Phew, it’s difficult to keep up and do justice to all of them simultaneously!

                    2. I know, I’ve noticed. Nikki’s very… unpredictable, isn’t she? She does whatever she likes, whenever she likes. She’s a… free spirit, I guess. She reminds me of the wind.

                    4. Yeah, maybe. 🙂 And to think that she actually thought that people didn’t love her! I still can’t get over the ridiculousness of the idea. Honestly, if she were there in front me then, I would’ve given her a piece of my mind, the stupid girl!

  2. I’ve actually been rereading some of my favorite books this week! I read Fire by Kirsten Cashore, and I’m currently reading The Scorpio Races (and loving it of course).
    I loved The Assassin’s Blade, though it kinda destroyed my soul with the ending.
