These three things are the reasons I’ve abandoned you these past few weeks, my not-so-loyal subjects. And yes, while I was gone I named myself Queen. (Did you know assaulting your queen with tomatoes is treason????!!

Guess whose gonna’ be needin’ that Shadowhunter gear now?! Well, even that won’t protect you from my executioner. Yes, I have an executioner. And the reason being,

Anyway, I have some crushing news for the lot of you, so gather ’round chillens. (I have no idea how to spell that word, as you can see.) If you couldn’t tell by the first three pictures in this post, I am, once again, on vacation. (This time I’m visiting the Nana and Papa resort. For you not as bright ‘bulbs, that’s not a real resort. I’m actually at my Nana and Papa’s house.) For the third time this summer. After this, I have to do sixty to seventy projects in a week for my 4-H fair and the other fair I enter stuff in (my only source of income for the year). After THAT, I’m going to church camp for a week. When I get back, I have to turn in all the projects I did to said fairs. But it’s like not I’m going to be busy or anything. Noooooo. Perish the thought. (Again, joking. Try to keep up. Oh, no. Incoming!!!! Splat!!!! *wipes tomato juice out of eyes… waves staff angrily and shouts*… “Off with their heads!!!!!”) Look what you’ve done. You’ve created a tyrant. Just remember in the future that YOU did this. I hope you’re happy!

Anyway, what I was saying before you so RUDELY interrupted me was… I don’t think you guys will be seeing too much of me for the next few weeks. 😦 😦 😦

Today’s topic is Last Top Ten Books That Came Into My Possession. I take this to mean last ten books I’ve read. (Excuse the horrid capitalization.) Yay!!!! FINALLY!!!!!!!!!! An easy topic!!! All I have to do is look up my reading history on my library catalog! I have this one in the bag. *wears self-satisfied smirk until it gets knocked off my face by an assortment of tomatoes and raw eggs… pulls shot-gun out of secret compartment in staff and waves it like a mad-man* Don’t push me!!! Or who knows what else my wild imagination could cook up?!!?!? *shudder shudder* Just kidding because…

The truth is revealed! Don’t try to deny it! *holds up finger in the air to tell you to hold up* A little fairy named Amy told me to shut up and get on with it already. She sounded angry… she bit me. When a fairy bites you, you don’t ignore it. Remember that. It’s an important life lesson to learn. So without further ado (even though I like ado), I present my Top Ten Tuesday:

1. Vicious by V.E. Schwab (Current Read)

I’m not very far yet, but so far I’m completely in love with this book. It’s completely unique; unlike nothing I’ve ever read before. And so, so AMAZING!! This book reunited me with my love of reading. It reintroduced me to my passion and love for words. For a while I was just sorta’ going through the motions, I mean I was still enjoying reading, but not to the full extent, and this book brought me back. Definitely a must-read. I’m not going to be mini-reviews for all of these (Definitely a mini review considering how long my reviews usually are. :), but this book is special. SPECIAL.

2. Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare

Cassandra Clare is my favorite author and I like this series almost as much as The Mortal Instruments. It was just lacking a little for me compared to TMI. Maybe it was because Jace wasn’t there (Yes, Bhramori, I tolerate Jace. Wit calls to wit.) and Will can never fill his shoes. I don’t know. Still an amazing read, though.

3. P.S. I Still Love You

I had this book on hold for literally two months, so I was sooooo happy to finally get my hands on it! A lot of people said they didn’t really think it was good, that it was disappointing compared to the first one. I however, loved it. I especially loved the ending where she ended up with *****! SSSSQQQQQUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *composes myself and smooths the wrinkles in my giant Queen-style ball gown* On to the next!

4. City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare

I honestly didn’t mean to make the cover that big, but this book is so amazing I figured it was fitting. Honestly, each installment of this series just keeps getting better and better. THIS is the reason why Cassandra Clare is my favorite author. And honestly, I love this cover. The person portraying Jace is how I picture Jace. Mwa! Mwa!

5. The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski

 

I. Love. This. Book. Must. Read. Second. Ooo-ooo. Ahh-ahh. Monkey Nikki need.

Mighty need. Must be fulfilled.

6. Champion by Marie Lu

I literally cried for an hour after reading the part where Day ******* ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, I can’t talk about it, I’m starting to cry again. I loved this entire series, but Champion definitely took it over the top. READ IT!!! (Amy, I’m talking to you.)

7. Blood Promise by Richelle Mead

This one’s another tear-jerker! Dimirti is… not himself. And IT’S. SO. SADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t say anymore… the tears are back.

8. The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness

This was so good and very unique. I’m sorry I’m lacking on the descriptions… and speaking of descriptions, I forgot the Goodreads links! Oh shoot! Well… I’m too lazy to do it, so you’re going to have to look them up yourselves. I know, I know. The horror.

8. The List by Siobhan Vivian

A realistic, quirky, food-for-thought book. I know, I know. This is a horrible description, but I’m getting tired. This is a good book. I’m tired.

9. Across the Universe by Beth Ravis

A: Guys, this stinks. There’s only three sentences on this page… and they STINK!! Going to page thirty-three. Rebel. Here’s the quote: “It had taken nearly two years of friendship to creak through the charming, candy shell and the find the thing Victor had always known lurked within.” Not exactly moving, but interesting!

3. Would you like to live in the world that exists within your book? Why or why not?

A: Hmmmm, not really sure. You would think being an EO would be awesome, but Victor makes it sound like it has its downfall. I’ll get back to you on that…
