Amy here! Remember, June’s TTT’s are all scheduled. 🙂 Top Ten Tuesday is a fun meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is…
Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases For The Rest Of 2015
Oh wow! This’ll be a toughie… Sike! Not. 😛
1) Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas –
This is the fourth book in the Throne of Glass series. *the room goes dead silent for two seconds until I can’t take it anymore and I run in circles squeeing and flapping my hands* Yeah. Heir of Fire was so good; I have no idea where this is going and I’m loving it!
2) Saving Mr. Terupt by Rob Buyea –
This is the third book in the Mr. Terupt series. The first two were so incredible; great stories about not forgetting what’s truly impotant to you in life and some wonderful characters.
3) Mechanica by Betsy Cornwell –
This is another retelling of Cinderella! Since this is, like, huge news, I have to share the blurb (from Goodreads) with you:
Nicolette’s awful stepsisters call her “Mechanica” to demean her, but the nickname fits: she learned to be an inventor at her mother’s knee. Her mom is gone now, though, and the Steps have turned her into a servant in her own home.
But on her sixteenth birthday, Nicolette discovers a secret workshop in the cellar and begins to dare to imagine a new life for herself. Could the mysterious books and tools hidden there—and the mechanical menagerie, led by a tiny metal horse named Jules—be the key to escaping her dreary existence? With a technological exposition and royal ball on the horizon, the timing might just be perfect for Nicolette to earn her freedom at last.
Gorgeous prose and themes of social justice and family shine in this richly imagined Cinderella retelling about an indomitable inventor who finds her prince . . . but realizes she doesn’t want a fairy tale happy ending after all.
Why is this such a big deal, some of you may ask? This is almost exactly like Cinder! Did anyone else make that connection, or was it just me? Anyway, I love retellings, and I am definitely looking forward to comparing this one with Cinder.
4) Winter Turning by Tui T. Sutherland –
Okay, so this is a kids’ book. This is the seventh book in the Wings of Fire series. I started it quite a while ago, and it’s adorable! I can’t stop.
5) The Last Ever After by Soman Chainani –
This is the third and final book in The School for Good and Evil series. I loved the first two! Epic plot twist on the first one; it got me rolling along this path and now my brakes are broke!
6) The Copper Gauntlet by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare –
This is the second book in the Magisterium series (remember Iron Trial? This is the sequel). The premise of this series has intrigued me. Also, these are incredible authors. I have high hopes!
7) Winter by Marissa Meyer –
This is the fourth (fifth including Fairest) book in The Lunar Chronicles series. *does another squeefest, see #1 for extra details* What? I like squeefests… Anyway. With how much I love Cinder, did you really think I would leave this one off my list? If you just said yes, you be glad this is a screen and not my face… I can’t wait to learn more about Winter! (The girl, not the book) Also, if this list included 2016, I would totally include Heartless. If you didn’t know, it is a retelling of Alice in Wonderland by Marissa Meyer! 😀
8) Beyond the Kingdoms by Chris Colfer –
This is the fourth book in The Land of Stories series. I loved the first three! Let’s just say, there was a major plot twist, and now I have no idea what to think. My emotions are a mess!
9) The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan –
Where would I be without Rick Riordan on my list? This is the first book in the Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard series. Here’s the blurb:
Magnus Chase has always been a troubled kid. Since his mother’s mysterious death, he’s lived alone on the streets of Boston, surviving by his wits, keeping one step ahead of the police and the truant officers.
One day, he’s tracked down by a man he’s never met—a man his mother claimed was dangerous. The man tells him an impossible secret: Magnus is the son of a Norse god.
The Viking myths are true. The gods of Asgard are preparing for war. Trolls, giants and worse monsters are stirring for doomsday. To prevent Ragnarok, Magnus must search the Nine Worlds for a weapon that has been lost for thousands of years.
When an attack by fire giants forces him to choose between his own safety and the lives of hundreds of innocents, Magnus makes a fatal decision.
Sometimes, the only way to start a new life is to die . . .
Who can possibly not be interested by that? You know what, I don’t want to hear it.
10) Between Us and the Moon by Rebecca Maizel –
Epic Reads described this as a romantic and heartfelt coming-of-age novel about how life and love are impossible to predict. I don’t know about you, but that sounds like an incredible book. Wrapped in a cute parcel to boot. 🙂

I can’t wait until Queen of Shadows comes out too. I’m really excited for it! It’s going to be freaking awesome. The same goes for Winter. So excited that its over 800 pages! I can’t wait for more Kai and Cinder!! I didn’t know Magnus Chase was coming out this year but really excited for it, too! I love Rick Riordan!
Here’s my TTT if you’d like to check it out!

Absolutely! Will do. 🙂

Queen of Shadows is quite a popular choice! Of course I don’t blame anyone, I can’t wait for it myself, along with Winter and the Sword of Summer! (And, oh, you know, all those books that have yet to be released?) ❤ Great list, Mechanica seems interesting!
