Ten Authors I REALLY Want To Meet

I don’t really fantasize about meeting any authors! So instead, I will talk about the first ten authors on my top ten (thirty) favorite authors list. Keep in mind, these aren’t necessarily the TOP ten on my list, just the first ten I thought of that night. 🙂 Also, all the bios are according to Goodreads. If you would like something more accurate, I suggest you visit their websites. 🙂

Marissa Meyer:

Doesn’t she just, like, look nice? No, I don’t mean pretty (although you could say that too). I mean, she just looks like a genuinely nice person! Here is her website, and this is her bio:

Rick Riordan:

Another series by him is the Kane Chronicles. I have read all of these books. Also, he has written various “files”, short stories, and books for the 39 Clues series.

Lauren Oliver:

 She looks so happy. Much like Mrs. Cass. Here is her website. Bio:

Lauren Oliver comes from a family of writers and so has always (mistakenly) believed that spending hours in front of the computer every day, mulling over the difference between “chortling” and “chuckling,” is normal. She has always been an avid reader. 
She attended the University of Chicago, where she continued to be as impractical as possible by majoring in philosophy and literature. After college, she attended the MFA program at NYU and worked briefly as the world’s worst editorial assistant, and only marginally better assistant editor, at a major publishing house in New York. Her major career contributions during this time were flouting the corporate dress code at every possible turn and repeatedly breaking the printer. Before I Fall is her first published novel. She is deeply grateful for the chance to continue writing, as she has never been particularly good at anything else.

  When I made my top thirty (hehe) favorite authors list, I cheated a little. I didn’t want to make two seperate links for Delirium and Pandemonium. So even though I had not read Requiem yet, I listed the entire series. Just recently I read Requiem, and may I just say, incredible! Wowza! I think even more highly of this series now. She has also written short stories to go along with the Delirium series, Before I Fall, Panic, and Vanishing Girls. 

Scott Westerfeld:

 This was the most straightforward picture I could find. Here is his website. Bio:

Scott Westerfeld is a New York Times bestselling author of YA. He was born in the Texas and now lives in Sydney and New York City. In 2001, Westerfeld married fellow author Justine Larbalestier.

He is best known for the Uglies and Leviathan series, and his next book, Afterworlds, comes out September 23, 2014.

His book Evolution’s Darling was a New York Times Notable Book, and won a Special Citation for the 2000 Philip K. Dick Award. So Yesterday won a Victorian Premier’s Award and both Leviathan and Midnighters 1: The Secret Hour won Aurealis Awards. Peeps and Uglies were both named as Best Books for Young Adults 2006 by the American Library Association.

Obviously this was not written from “his” point of view, and is a bit old, but… It’s what I found on Goodreads.

I have no idea why I listed the entire series, because I’ve only read the first two… He has also written short stories that accompany the Uglies series. the Leviathan series, the Midnighters series, the Peeps series, Afterworlds, Stupid Perfect World, and many more.

Lisi Harrison:

Lisi Harrison is the author of the #1 New York Times best-selling series “The Clique”. Lisi was born in Canada, and lived in NYC for a while at MTV. She now lives in Laguna Beach, CA.

Again, no idea why I listed the entire thingg. I’ve only read the first three. Hence the picture. She has also written the Alphas series, some Monster High books, and the Pretenders series.

Sarah J. Maas:
